PAS 128 DEFINES FOUR SURVEY METHODS THAT MAY APPLY TO YOUR PROJECT


TYPE A - VERIFICATION

Using data collected during survey D/C/B utilities and services are physically confirmed through trial holes and physical investigation.

TYPE B - DETECTION

Application of a range of available technology including smart GPS positioning, GPR (ground penetration Radar) and EML (electromagnetic location) technology to detect and pinpoint services within your project footprint.

TYPE C - SITE RECONNAISSANCE

A visual inspection of the site to validate existing utility records and identify potential site hazards to feedback before further underground Utility Detection takes place.

TYPE D - DESKTOP UTILITY RECORD SEARCH

Underground Services and Utilities are identified by collation and analysis of a pre-determined set of existing utility records.
